Our natural materials 

Seagrass

Seagrass is a flowering plant native to Vietnam where an abundance of rivers and lakes gather. This plant grows partially submerged in bodies of water and have been cultivated by Vietnamese for centuries. They are used in crafting household items and even furniture. Seagrass is known for its flexibility and durability when dried making them the perfect material for Vietnamese weavers.

Bamboo

Bamboo is a tall grass of great cultural and economic importance to the Vietnamese. They are favored for their durability and flexibility while used for furniture or home household items. Bamboo farming is sustainable due to its fast growth and survivability in most conditions.

Rattan

Rattan has been traditionally used for wickerwork household items. It is found mostly in the wild making the resources of rattan scarce. Their value comes in how exquisite the products made from the material are with their high durability.

Jute

Jute is the vegetable fiber produced from the flowering plants of the genus Corchorus. It is very easy to make and readily found throughout the countryside of Vietnam.
